I wanted to play around with composition..... Milly (my dog) willing, but she wasn't very, so this was not exactly what I had in mind but almost. The focus being on the grasses, with the water cooling towers behind. I need to play around a bit more so that the head of the grass is slightly higher than the tower, but with Milly insisting that we had spent enough time at this spot it was time to move on. I like the stark contrast of the towers and all they represent with the determination of the natural landscape in its valiant attempt to recapture lost ground..
This is definitely somewhere I want to revisit to explore the possibilities of this landscape..

My lunch was spent trying to read an article in outdoor photography titled  'in Conversation with Dav Thomas' a sheffield based photographer whose refusal to allow the rules of light control his imagery.. focusing more on composition and emotional connection. His resulting work is refreshing and deviates from the norm.... which touches a cord with me, his work is definitely worth a look at
