Afternoon tea at Calke Abbey
We visited the Art Exhibition at Calke Abbey in the late afternoon sunshine, one of our 'Sunday Rule' outings. This is such an amazing place with plenty of photo opportunities among the outbuildings.
The cream tea was absolutely delicious - warm freshly baked scones and clotted cream with a dash of jam for good measure washed down with hot freshly brewed tea.....
You cant ask for a more English pastime..
